Google Pixel 10 Pro: Redefining the Flagship with AI

The Google Pixel 10 Pro, officially unveiled on August 20, 2025, represents a significant leap forward in Google's smartphone lineup, placing a heavy emphasis on a new, more powerful Tensor chip and a suite of on-device AI features. The device builds on the strengths of its predecessors while introducing key hardware and software enhancements designed to deliver a more seamless, intelligent, and personalized user experience.

Design and Display

The Pixel 10 Pro maintains Google's recognizable design language, but with refinements that improve both aesthetics and durability. It features a refreshed camera bar and is constructed with recycled materials, reflecting a commitment to sustainability. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back and boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The display is a major highlight, a 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED with a resolution of 2856x1280 pixels. The display's adaptive refresh rate, ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, ensures smooth visuals while optimizing battery life. With a peak brightness of 3300 nits, the screen is exceptionally vivid and easy to view even in bright sunlight.

Performance and AI

Powering the Pixel 10 Pro is the all-new Google Tensor G5 chip, fabricated on a 3nm process. This custom silicon is the most significant upgrade since the first Tensor chip, delivering a 34% faster CPU and a 60% more powerful Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) compared to the Tensor G4.

The Tensor G5's true strength lies in its deep integration with Gemini Nano, Google's on-device generative AI model. This allows for a range of new features that run directly on the phone, without a need for a cloud connection. These include:

  • Magic Cue: A proactive AI assistant that surfaces relevant information and actions based on your current context, such as a text message.

  • Camera Coach: An AI guide that provides real-time tips on photography, helping users improve their composition and lighting skills.

  • Auto Best Take: A feature that automatically analyzes a series of group photos to combine the best expressions of each person into a single, perfect image.

The phone is equipped with 16GB of RAM and is available with storage of 256GB.

Camera System

The Pixel 10 Pro continues Google's tradition of offering a best-in-class camera system, relying on both advanced hardware and sophisticated computational photography. The triple-rear camera setup includes:

  • Main Camera: 50MP wide-angle lens with an f/1.68 aperture.

  • Ultrawide Camera: 48MP sensor with a 123-degree field of view and autofocus.

  • Telephoto Camera: 48MP sensor with 5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.

A standout new feature is Pro Res Zoom, which leverages the Tensor G5's processing power to enable up to a 100x digital zoom with remarkable detail. The phone also supports video recording up to 8K resolution, and with improved stabilization, it delivers cinematic-quality videos. The front-facing camera is a 42MP ultrawide sensor with autofocus, ensuring sharp and detailed selfies.

Battery and Charging

The Pixel 10 Pro is powered by a 4,870mAh battery, designed to last over 24 hours on a single charge. It supports 30W wired fast charging, which can get the battery to 70% in about 30 minutes. It also features Pixelsnap magnetic wireless charging, with Qi2-certified wireless charging up to 15W.

Software and Pricing

Running on Android 16, the Pixel 10 Pro comes with Google's commitment to seven years of OS and security updates. This ensures the phone will remain up-to-date with the latest features and security protocols for an extended period. The phone is available in four colors: Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade. The price for the 256GB model in India is ₹1,09,999.
